Agility is both a fast and exhilarating sport, which is why dogs and handlers find it so much fun.

It is a sport where you train your dog to negotiate various obstacles which include jumps, tunnels, see-saws etc.  When proficient, you will then be able to complete a course of between 10-20 of these obstacles whilst being timed.
Flying high
People are attracted to agility for a wide variety of reasons.  Some simply want to spend some 'quality time' with their dog, doing something that's fun while others enjoy taking part in shows.  There is no pressure to acheive any particular level.  This is a good way to train socially with a group of friends.
There you are Mum!
To successfully begin Agility training, it helps if your dog is able to sit or lay down on command, come when called and remain with you when asked. These basic commands will help you to progress quicker and therefore enable you to do the course off-lead, thats when the real fun begins.
Higher please
This is fun, can I do it again
Easy when you know how
Thanks Dad I am having loads of fun
As a beginner, you and your our dog will be introduced to each obstacle, but more importantly taught to perform the obstacles correctly and safely.  At no time will your dog be put under any pressure to negotiate an obstacle, methods are based on fun, rewarding your dog with toys and titbits.

Good job I'm not scared of heights
There is no definition of an agility dog, all sizes and shapes can take part, they all enjoy it just the same.

However the dog must be over 12 months of age and sound.
LONG JUMP - this tests the dogs ability to jump horizontilly rather than vertically.
TUNNEL - its fun trying to get the dogs to go through at first. Once they have done it, it soon becomes a firm favourite, the dogs love this obstacle a lot.
TIRE - it is a jump obstacle but instead of jumping over they have to jump through the middle.
JUMPS - there are lots of jumps in this set which means we can make great courses, doubles, triples etc. They love jumping and some can even do the top height.
SEESAW - lots of control and balance is needed for this one, but the dogs soon get used to tipping it to enable them to go down the other side.
A-FRAME - this takes a bit of training but the dogs love climbing up and down it, control is needed to make sure dog steps on to the red section at the bottom.
DOG WALK - Look at me up here say the dogs, especailly the little ones, think they feel they are king/queen of the agility.
